Obituary of Dolores Mattson
Dolores Adeline Mattson, 92, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West.
She was born on December 23, 1919 in Wyanett Township, Minnesota to Henry and Mabel (Findell) Bergloff. Dolores grew up in the Wyanett and Bradford areas of Isanti County and attended country the Pine Brook Country School.
In 1944 she married Robert Noren and they had one son Mike. They made their home in Springvale, later rural Cambridge. Dolores worked at Munsingwear, the Twin Cities Arsenal, Lewis' Department Store and also several years at Woodhaven Realty in Cambridge.
In 1952 she was married to Gordon Mattson and they lived in Cambridge and Bradford. She loved tending to her large vegetable garden, canning, baking, cooking, dancing, wine making and fishing. She also enjoyed playing cards, going to Las Vegas with her sisters and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her grandkids always remember the many hats and fancy outfits that she wore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon in August 2009, sisters Audrey Sweeney, Margaret Smith, Jane Smith, and Norma Leonard. Dolores is survived by her son Mike and wife Cheryl Noren of Sandstone, three grandchildren Robbin Noren-Mullins and husband Dan of Cambridge, Dave Noren of Cambridge, Ken Noreen and wife Lisa Yerigan of Cambridge, three great grandchildren Mike Noren, Colin Shrider, and Lausen Noren, daughter-in-law Sharon Noren of Cambridge, sisters Mona (Gene) Findell of Stillwater, Annette Lindahl of Minneapolis, Muriel Bergloff and Marlys Bergloff, brother Allen Bergloff of Hastings, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
