Obituary of Margaret Sobania

Margaret M. Sobania, 86, of Cambridge, formerly of St. Paul passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. She was born July 19, 1924 in Pokegama Township, Minnesota to Frank and Frances (Wanous) Huml. In 1954 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Sobania and he died unexpectedly only three months later and Margaret had to raise their daughter alone. Margaret lived in St. Paul and worked for Gillette Company, from which she retired. She lived the last ten years at Grandview Christian Home/GracePointe Crossing Gables West. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence in January 1955, three brothers, two in infancy and Jim Huml, sisters Anna Howat, Helen Jesok and Irene Kubat. She is survived by daughter Gerri (Steve) Rombach of Isanti, three grandchildren Steph and husband Gordie Beaman of Braham, Eric Rombach and fiancé Tiff Anderson of Cambridge, Keith and wife Cassie Rombach of Isanti, two great grandchildren Madie and Kaitlyn Beaman, brother Frank Huml of Eagan, sister-in-law Agnes Kryzer, special nieces and nephews Ed Howat, Andy Howat, Marge Dormody, Helen VonEschen, as well as other relatives and friends.
