Obituary of Francis Ziebarth
Francis "Frank" Bernard Ziebarth, 77, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Cambridge Medical Center.
He was born June 24, 1929 in Lavonia Township, Sherburne County, Minnesota to Francis and Alice (Peterson) Ziebarth. He was baptized as an infant into the Catholic Faith, grew up in the Princeton, Spencer Brook area and attended country school at Spencer Brook. He helped out on the home farm for a few years and then began working for Glen Denning Trucking in Minneapolis. Frank later moved to Faribault and began working for a farmer in the area.
While in Faribault he met Patricia Clark and they were married on September 6, 1948 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall. They made their home in Faribault for a short time before moving to Princeton where he began working for Hanson Construction. Frank would go on to work for Isanti County so the family moved to a home in Cambridge. It was there that they raised their four children and would live for the next 56 years. After working for the county for several years, Frank worked for Harold Norman as a mechanic and in 1971 started working for Cambridge �" Isanti Independent School District #911. He retired in July 1991 as a bus mechanic and continued on as a school bus driver for the next seven years.
Frank was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Cambridge and served as an usher for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, camping, and the outdoors. He liked listening to good music, visiting people and always had a story to tell. He also enjoyed riding his moped and picking up cans, watching wrestling, Judge Judy, and The Peoples Court. He especially loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, sisters Dory Akers, Annabelle Akers, and Joanne Ziebarth.
Frank is survived by his wife Pat of Cambridge, daughter Diane and husband Jim Berg of Harris, sons Terry and wife Nancy Ziebarth of Isanti, Randy Ziebarth and special friend Char Auge of Cambridge, Ricky Ziebarth and special friend Ashley Longino of Mora, eight grandchildren Michael and wife Mirinda Johnson of Cambridge, Dominic Ziebarth and Melissa Ziebarth of Isanti, Danny and wife Allison Ziebarth of Rosemount, Jenny Ziebarth of Eagan, Aaron Morton of Coon Rapids, Samantha Ziebarth and Cassie Ziebarth of Ogilvie, seven great grandchildren Holly Jo, Tyler, Zack, Nathan, Jacob, Summer and Ariana, sisters Joyce Mattson of Princeton, Mary Mattson of Braham, brothers Bernard and wife Irene Ziebarth of Florida, Wellington and wife Diane Ziebarth of Cambridge, Jerry and wife Joyce Ziebarth of Cambridge, Donald Ziebarth and Judy Anderson of Cambridge, Larry Ziebarth of Isanti, Dennis Ziebarth of Cambridge, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
