Obituary of Michael Bergerson

Michael Bergerson of Cambridge died on Friday, July 13, 2007 at Cambridge Medical Center. He was 55 years old. Michael was born on November 14, 1951 to Harold and Joyce Bergerson in Whitehall, Wisconsin. The family moved to St. Louis Park in 1953 then to South Minneapolis in 1956. His Father passed away in 1957 and Joyce then married Robert Gunderson in 1960. He graduated from Vocational High School. After high school he enlisted into the Army and served in Vietnam. He married Patricia Kubera on December 1, 1972 and they had two wonderful children, Jennifer and Daniel. Michael worked for most of his career at FMC as a CNC machinist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and being "Macho Papa" to his grandchildren. Michael had been struggling a long time with liver problems and underwent a liver transplant in May 2003. The family is very grateful for the liver transplant, as well as the organ donor and his family. In memory of him please consider becoming an organ donor on your driver's license and letting your family know your wishes. You never know whose life you may save. Michael is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Jennifer Martinson (Mark Basel), son Dan Bergerson (Erin Benassi), adored grandchildren Bri and Aidan Martinson, beloved dog Trixie, mother Joyce Gunderson, brother Tom (Dar) Bergerson, sisters Kay Bergerson, Jackie (Jim) Kriesel, Linda (Jim) Stewart, Jody (Bruce) Rademacher, many loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Michael's happiest moments were spent with his children, grandchildren, and outdoors. He was preceded in death by many loving family members.
