Obituary of Nancy Peters
Nancy Lee Peters, 65, of rural Princeton died unexpectedly on Monday, July 18, 2011 at her home.
She was born May 20, 1946 in Rochester, Minnesota to LeRoy and Sylvie (Miller) Goetzke.. Nancy grew up in the Spencer Brook area where she attended country school.
On August 24, 1964 she was united in marriage to Bruce Peters at the Zion Lutheran Church of Crown. They made their home on the Peters home farm and raised their four children. Along with helping out with the farming, Nancy also worked in Princeton at Fingerhut, and Plastic Products from which she retired in 2005.
Nancy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Crown. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, woodworking, and playing the trumpet at church. She especially loved hunting, looking forward every year to the deer season.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald, Arthur and Butch Goetzke, and sister Marguerite Babb. Nancy is survived by her husband Bruce of Princeton, son Darold and wife Joni Peters of Princeton, daughters Mary and husband Art Witte of Princeton, Betty and husband Jim Domogalla of Central City, KY, Starletta Peters of Princeton, six grandchildren Jeff Lindberg, Jaime Lindberg-Kutter (Jim Holevas), Elizabeth Witte, Nathan Witte, Andrew Witte and Katie Witte, three great grandchildren James Holevas Jr., Jenna Holevas and Jayla Holevas sister Mary and husband LeRoy Lange of Mora, sisters-in-law Joyce Goetzke of Bloomington, Delores Goetzke of Palisade, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
