Obituary of Vivian Morrison
Vivian Rose Morrison, 96, of Princeton, formerly of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at her daughter's home.
She was born January 24, 1915 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Edward and Christine (Rothauge) Griffin. Vivian grew up in St. Paul where she attended grade school and graduated high school.
In 1942 she was united in marriage to Arthur Morrison in Buffalo, New York. While in New York, their first daughter Barb was born. The family moved to St. Paul a few years later and their daughter Judy was born. While in St. Paul they attended Faith Lutheran Church. In 1948 they purchased a farm on the south edge of Cambridge. Arthur passed away in 1958.
Vivian worked at the Cambridge State Hospital as a psychiatric aide and retired after 35 years at the age of 62. After retiring Vivian remained at her home until 1992 when she moved to Princeton to live with her daughter Barb.
Vivian enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, and brothers Willard and Morris Griffin. Vivian is survived by her daughters Barb Prescott of Princeton, Judy and husband Harry Norberg of Cambridge, seven grandchildren, Mike (Shannon) Hillberg of Princeton, Bryan Hillberg of Princeton, Paula (Luke) Prescott of Princeton, Roger (Debbie) Norberg of Clearwater, Mark Norberg of Cambridge, Steven Norberg of Cambridge, Bradley (Tena) Norberg of Cambridge, four step grandchildren Robert Prescott Jr. of North Carolina, Margaret Haughland of Zimmerman, Mary Davis of Zimmerman, Marcia Prescott of Princeton, 12 great grandchildren, Josh (Jean) Hillberg of Princeton, Amanda Hillberg of Princeton, Kyle Prescott of Princeton, Erin Bircher and Jenna Bircher of Princeton, Rhyan and Kahlen Manthe of Princeton, Jessie, Rachel and Dustin Norberg of Cambridge, Ashley and Ryan Norberg of Clearwater, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
