Obituary of Janie Chapman
Janie Lynn Chapman, 59, of rural Isanti died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at her home.
She was born November 23, 1951 in Minot, North Dakota to Milan and Elsa (Nordgren) Pitcher. Janie grew up in Minot where she attended grade school and graduated from Minot High School in 1969. After high school she moved to White Bear Lake, MN and began working at the University of Minnesota Hospital. She would later move to Minneapolis. Janie also lived in Fergus Falls for a short time, and Wyoming, MN as well as Houston, Texas. In 1991 she moved back to White Bear Lake. She also spent some time living in Stacy, New York, and more recently North Branch, Rush City and the past two years in rural Isanti.
Janie worked as a Health Care Aide with Community Living Options in North Branch. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, fishing, camping and reading her daily devotions from the Bible. Janie was a very creative and artistic person, crafting many items and giving many as gifts.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jill Pitcher, infant daughter, father Milan and mother Elsa. Janie is survived by her husband Loren of Houston, TX, sons Michael (Garlena) Chapman of Kentucky, Christopher (Cassie) Chapman of Indiana, Dayton Chapman (Linda) of New York, grandchildren Sara, Jeffrey, Josh, Dayton and Derek Chapman, Reymond Donati, Mary, Nathan and Nicholas Chapman, sisters Holly (Alan) Christofk of Stillwater, Michaelene (Darrell) Preston of Corcoran, Nancy (Greg) Starfield of Forest Lake, Sarabeth (Steve) McCullough of Wyoming, MN, Paula (David) Mead of Scandia, brother William (Julie) Pitcher of White Bear Lake, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
