Obituary of Eugene Anderson
Eugene C. "Bud" Anderson, 94, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Grandview Christian Home.
He was born June 28, 1913 in Minneapolis, MN to Albin and Clara (Lindberg) Anderson.
On June 27, 1936 he married Sadie Holm at the Stanchfield Baptist Church Parsonage. After the couple was married they would farm the Holm farm in Stanchfield for seven years. They lived in Cambridge for a short time then bought a farm in East Cambridge. Bud worked various jobs including delivering ice to homes before there were refrigerators; he operated a gas station in Cambridge as well as working at the Cambridge State Hospital for twenty two years, retiring in 1977. In 1979 Bud and Sadie purchased a cabin on Shallow Lake near Warba, MN. In 1992 they moved to Isanti. Sadie passed away on January 1, 2000. In 2001 Bud moved to Riverwood Village in Cambridge until May of this year when he moved to Grandview Christian Home.
Bud was a long time member of Cambridge Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albin and Clara, wife of 63 years Sadie, sisters Alby Myren, Myrtiz LaSota, Joyce Sparre and brother Kenneth Anderson
Bud is survived by brothers Emory Anderson of Panola, OK, Dean and wife Donna Anderson of Blaine, Johnny and wife Verian Anderson of Cambridge, brother-in-law Henry and wife Juanita Holm of Shoreview, sisters-in-law Doris and husband Milton Kleven of Isanti, Norma Anderson of Cambridge, special friend Connie Chelberg of Cambridge, and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
