We will truly miss Dale as he has become a real friend for the 25 years we have owned our campground. He and his family have camped with us every holiday weekend since 1991. Dale has been our resident weatherman and has kept track of every drop of rain and temperature changes each holiday. We labeled him the rain man so he brought his records with him and showed us that doesn't always rain when he comes. We always teased Dale that he was too loud and the neighbors were complaining. He had a sweet spot for ice cream. We teased him that he alone ate all of our free ice cream at the Memorial and Labor Day weekends.
Our holiday weekends will be very different without Dale to visit with. We will always remember his mild manor, smiles and great conversations. Dale, you will still have one more job in Heaven, please keep the rain away on holiday weekends!
Dale Smith, I know you'll be truly missed by friends and family, I pray for your family now in their grieving of their loss of a wonderful man.. And I want to thank cousin Jerry Smith for keeping me informed of my "Smith" family Sending lots of love xoxoxo
