I recently found Lorne's Obituary. Of the short time I knew him, he has probably made the most profound affect on my life. He was able to take time from his busy schedule to go camping with me for a week in canoe country north of Ely, MN in 1964. During that time he also gave me a clear message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It took another 12 years for that seed to sprout into a life change that carries with me to this day. Thank you, Lorne, for you not only took time for me, that I very badly needed from my parents, but you opened up that door to Eternal Life for me by your witnessing and your witness. I am eternally grateful. Thank you for you and your family.

What an amazing tribute to my wonderful uncle! He has always been such a tremendous example of what a Godly man should be. . . I will be forever grateful for his influence in my life and praise the Lord that he's my uncle! Now he's praising the Lord in person! I will miss him!

Our hearts are full as we remember the wonderful days when your mom and dad and Brian lived in Sioux Lookout! God was so good to bring Lorne and Virginia into our family as our children were growing up - They were probably the best godly example our children had of an older couple who loved Jesus, loved people and lived joyful lives of service day in and day out! We shared many a meal ( Virginia's buns were fresh and yummy), we picked blueberries together (Lorne was always looking over the next hill for bigger berries!), we prayed together, we sang together, we celebrated life together! We can only imagine how joyful they are together now in the presence of Jesus, and we long to join them! May the Lord strengthen each one of you who have a very grievous loss, and may the hope of heaven fill your hearts afresh!
Because of Jesus,
Kris and Stan

Our hearts are saddened to hear that your Dad has left this earth though we can't help but imagine the rejoicing in heaven as he was received alongside your Mom and the wonder of being in the Presence of Our Saviour!! Special thoughts to our dear friend Brian, and his family, as well as all of Lorne's family , as you all reflect on the memories God has blessed you with through the years you have had with your Dad. May God continue to comfort and cause your hearts to look to the Hope of all being together again, for we do not grieve as those who have no Hope! Your Dad has enriched Michael and I's lives more than words can express through the years past and we will always thank God for the wisdom he continually shared with us when we had the privilege of visiting with your Mom and Dad in Sioux Lookout as well as when they would stop in to see us here in Devlin after we moved here. Your Dad and Mom are some of the most extraordinary people God has graced our lives with . Blessings
