Obituary of Merrill O. Christiansen

Merrill Christiansen of Isanti, died April 13 2015 at the home of sons Dennis and Lonny Christiansen, in Brook Park, MN at the age of 90 years and 6 months. He was born October 6, 1924 to Charlie and Lillian Christiansen on a farm at Elbow Lake, MN. He attended rural county school and Herman High School in 1944, Merrill married Joy Symens in Erdahl Lutheran Church. They were married for 70 years. Merrill enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, and outdoor activities. He is survived by his wife Joy, five sons; Dennis, Lonny (Barbara), Gregory (Sally), Jeffrey (Patti), Bradley (Cheryl); ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Eugene Christiansen from Champlin, MN, and sister Joan (Bert) Johnson from Sun City, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Lillian Christiansen and grandson Troy Christiansen.
