Obituary of Anna Maria Jabs

Anna Maria Jabs of Cambridge passed away on Sunday July 8, 2012 at Cambridge Medical Center at the age 83. She was born on January 30, 1929 to Mathias and Anna Maria Amberg in Wurzburg, Germany. In 1957, Anna Marie married Edwin Jabs Sr, and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Years later they moved to a farm in Cambridge, Minnesota where they raised 5 children. Anna Maria retired from the State of Minnesota and enjoyed her time by gardening and spending time with friends and family. She always had a full pot of coffee and cake to share to anyone who would stop by and visit. Anna Maria was very proud of her German heritage and loved each and every one of her German friends. She is survived by five children, Bernhard Jabs (Lea), MaryAnn Peters (Tim), Edwin Jabs Jr.(Sharna), Bernice Meyer (Brian), Mathew Jabs (Melanie), fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law Elmer Jabs, and many nieces and nephews. Her family includes many cousins, friends and neighbors; she was known to all as Oma. Anna Maria was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, grandson, Travis, brothers: Karl, Urban, Mathias, Longin, sister Elizabeth, and parents.
