Obituary of Arthur M. Valerius

Arthur M. Valerius age 82 of Elk River, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August, 12, 2015. He was born to John and Martha Valerius on November 27, 1932 on the Albertville family farm. Art attended Elk River public schools, until he was needed to work on the family farm. He married Yvonne Albert on October 31st 1953. Together they raised six children: Robert, Daniel, Roxanne, Larry, David and Christine. Art proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked at Aluma Craft from 1959 to 1966 and took a position at Hoffman Engineering from October 24, 1966 until he retired on January 1, 1995. After his beloved wife Yvonne died in September 1995, Art married Jeanne in June 1996. They later would divorce. Art loved to travel. He spent his last years at his daughter, Christine’s, farm in Nowthen, MN where he enjoyed watching nature. He was preceded in death by his first wife Yvonne; sons Robert and Larry; brothers Alfred and Ralph. He is survived by his children Daniel (Diane), Roxanne (Brad) Kalk, David (Wendy) and Christine (Steve) Koehler, 14 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; 1brother Gilbert (Anna Mae), sister-in-law Ann Valerius, brother-in-law Rick Albert and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
