Obituary of Kathy L. Bohman
Kathy L. Bohman of Isanti, passed away in her home after a long struggle with cancer. She was 54 years old. Kathy was born September 26, 1960 She and her 2 sisters were adopted to Einer and Lois Jensen on March 19, 1963. Kathy grew up on a farm near Rush Point where she helped her parents for years, baking beside her mother, and farming beside her father. She drove tractor at the age of 8 and loved bailing hay every summer. She was a shy but very kind person that loved watching out for others who were less fortunate. Kathy enjoyed Track, Cheerleading, and Dance-line while attending Cambridge High School. She graduated in 1979. During her 11th grade year she worked at the Cambridge Laundry and Cleaners. Kathy worked at the Cambridge State Hospital the summer before attending Saint Cloud Beauty College for 2 years, graduating in 1981. Kathy worked as a hairdresser for 8 years in Cambridge and Saint Cloud. She started working for Creative Memories Corporate office and enjoyed sharing her artistic abilities. After her father passed away in January of 1999 she left Creative Memories to move home in June of 2000 to help her mother on the farm. She met and married the love of her life, Bob Bohman on October 6, 2001 in the rose gardens along the shores of Duluth, Minnesota. They lived in Isanti for a couple years and then moved to Bigfork, MN where they lived for 10 years. Kathy enjoyed living in northern Minnesota, especially visits from their children, Campfires, wildlife, and nature at it’s best. “God’s country!” (she always said) “Isn’t it beautiful?” Kathy enjoyed working side by side with her husband Bob who managed a Polaris pro race team for 4 years. Kathy did all the travel arrangements for the racers and really enjoyed doing all the photography for the team action shots were her favorite. But her favorite thing to take pictures of was of her family. She tried very hard to get the family together for family portraits. Not always easy to do with 5 kids and their busy families. Kathy always liked to make people smile. Kathy was always so happy and known for her positivity which inspired many. She wasn’t afraid to tell people “it’s so much easier to be happy than to be sad or feel sorry for yourself.” Kathy always kept her head held high, and spirits even higher. She had many medical issues over the years and always kept her bubbly and infectious happiness for life intact. She always shared that sparkle with everyone she met. Kathy always had a hug to share with family or friends. “Love, the one thing that is free” she always said. Kathy had a strong faith in God and this reflected in her life in so many ways. She was always giving and thought of other before herself. She enjoyed attending Calvary Lutheran Church of Rush Point. She took part in WELCA, Bible Study, Bake Sales, and fellowship serving refreshments. Kathy worked as a Norwex Independent Consultant for the past two years. She enjoyed sharing her love for the products and meeting new friends. Even though Kathy had her own struggles, she could always find the time to help others by organizing benefits for friends and family.
