Obituary of Francis V. Norberg

Francis V. Norberg, age 83, of Stanchfield, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2015 at Cambridge Medical Center. Frank was born on January 30, 1932 in the log cabin on the farm that his great grandparents, Peter and Anna Mattson, homesteaded in 1872. The farm was located in Springvale Township of Isanti County. His parents Alphonse and Rachel farmed until Frank and his brothers and sisters could help. Frank was an independent milk hauler for Braham Creamery. He also worked for Leaf construction. He enjoyed playing pool with his friends at the Braham Tavern and going to the casino. Frank will be missed by his brothers Bob, Tom, Dave, and Jim as well as sisters LaVerne, Dorothy, and Laura. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by a baby brother; his parents; brother Harry; and sister Pat.
