Dear Annette, Aline, and Families,
So sorry to hear about Al's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. Seems so long ago when we were so busy with scouting, 4-H, church, coffee and fun together. Lots of great memories that we share forever. You girls have grown so beautifully with the best combination of both your parents. Strength and gentleness, courage and understanding, with a great compacity to love has made you both wise and wonderful women. I am thankful always for my dear friend, Vonnie, and her beloved family.

Al was one of the first people we met when we bought a place on the lake. We always looked forward to running into him at the Pine. He always had a tool to lend or a smile to share. We'll really miss him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. I saw him last summer and he was happily telling me of the 80th birthday party that his family threw for him. He looked great. Although Al and my dad (Ron) would quarrel like siblings over the years, they were longtime friends. When Al bought the cabin on Clear Lake, he taught me how to waterski. He was always generous and kind. I pray that you find peace and strength during this difficult time. God Bless.

Dear Net and Aline,
Peaceful greetings ... and our most deeply felt sadness at the death of your Dad and my (Curtis) uncle.
I remember a time -- a long, long time ago -- when your Dad and I played on our church softball team. I was the center fielder, he was the shortstop, when a ball was lofted between the two of us who gave an all-out chase. Since I was running in and he saw that I had it in sight, Al pulled up to give me room to make the catch. I didn't. I stopped, even though, had I kept running, I'd have made the catch. Al just looked at me and with a sly smirk and a soft voice said, "You had it!" I remember that play for three reasons. One, he didn't get angry. Two, he was right. Three, that sly smile. In the rest of my ball playing days, I never again gave up on a tough catch. And when I made one, I always thought of Uncle Al.
Now, a prayer of commendation for Uncle Al:
We entrust you to God who created you. May you return to the one who formed us out of the dust of the earth. Surrounded by the angels and triumphant saints who have gone before, may Christ come to meet you.
Christ, the Lord of glory, who was crucified for you, bring you freedom and peace.
Christ, the High Priest, who has forgiven all your sins, keep you among his people.
Christ, the Son of God, who died for you, show you the glories of his eternal kingdom.
May you see your Redeemer face to face and enjoy the sight of God forever. Amen.
Bless you Annette and Aline and families.

Hi Annette & Aline,
I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. My deepest condolences to both of you and your families.
I have special memories of your Dad. He was a hard worker and always built beautiful homes with live farm animals. I was so envious of your lambs, chickens and horses! You were both very special to him.
Our dad passed away on January 5th while at home in Bruno. He fell asleep on the sofa and quietly passed away from pneumonia. I imagine they are in heaven, sitting outside, having beer like they used to in our neighborhood back yards! Thank goodness for great neighbors and childhood memories.
I would like to send you a memorial check but will need an address. Please let me know where to send it.
Please remember to take good care of yourselves at this sad time.
Kind Regards,
Cindy

Dearest Al,
Dale and I want to thank you for your friendship. You are one of the kindness, thoughtful and enjoyable person to be around.
Dale and I always looked forward to going up to the cabin and stopping at Castaways to see you and the crew. We always had so much fun with you. Telling story's about each others families, talking about cooking, fixing things, mowing, and of course your grand kids and daughters. When you weren't at Castaways, we would always ask: Has Al been in today? Hows he doing?
You will always be apart of our lives. You will be missed very much. We love you! Rest in peace friend!
To the Family and Julie Brennan:
Our thoughts and prayer are with all of you. Your father, grandpa and friend was truly a great man! Thanks for sharing him with everyone.
Dale and Teri

The prayers of the Faith Lutheran Church family in Grand Blanc, MI along with my own personal prayers arise to the Lord at this time of your sorrow and loss. The great influence that Albert had on Cindy LaFontaine, our preschool director, has been a blessing to the students, staff, her family and all who know her. We thank God for the many gifts that Albert brought into this world. May the confidence of forgiveness and sure hope of the resurrection for Jesus' sake bring you comfort and peace now and always.
