Obituary of Jon C. Wetther
Jon Christopher Wetther, 53, of Long Lake near Isanti died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home.
He was born on February 26, 1962 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota to David and Lillian (Reineccius) Wetther. Jon was baptized and confirmed at the Cambridge Lutheran Church. He attended grade school in Isanti and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1980. He began working at the charcoal plant in Isanti while in high school and continued working there for several years. He would go on to work at Yale Forklift in Ham Lake which he also worked at for several years.
In 1994 he married Barb Wiswell at Long Lake Lutheran Church and they had one son Joseph. They would later divorce.
Jon bought a home on Long Lake and he enjoyed the lake life and all the friends he made living there. He liked to drive his pontoon on the lake, enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing. Jon was a very social person and loved socializing and visiting with anyone and everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Tim. Jon is survived by his son Joe Wetther of Princeton, siblings Carole (Larry) Wilson of Isle, Larry (Janice) Wetther of Stanchfield, Thomas (Diane) Wetther of Cambridge, Terry Wetther of Bradford, Tina (Rob) Marshall of Isanti, Corey Wetther of Montrose, Robin Wetther of Center City, as well as nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
