Obituary of Isabel H. Clark

Isabel Helen Clark, 96, of Cambridge, formerly of Hinckley, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 at GracePointe Crossing East. She was born on July 15, 1919 in Hinckley, Minnesota to Thomas and Elizabeth (Smith) Moffatt. Isabel grew up in Hinckley where she attended school. On November 9, 1936 she was united in marriage to Leonard E. Clark at Elk Point, SD. They would make their home in Pine City before moving to Hinckley. In 1963 Isabel began working at the Cambridge State Hospital and in 1964 they moved to Cambridge so she was closer to her work. She began working at McBroom Hall and later went to school to become an LPN, working at the State Hospital until retiring in 1982. After retiring Isabel and Leonard traveled and also built a home near Skogman Lake. She was an active member of the Wyanett, Dale and Oxlip Evangelical Free Churches. Isabel enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, baking, and her little dogs. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Isabel, husband Leonard in January 2001, sister Mary Young, brother James Moffatt, half-sisters Christine Whited and Ruth Zwiers, and son-in-law Lloyd Sikkink. She is survived by her children Judy Sikkink of Duluth, Brenda (Leonard) Nyberg of Westland, MI, Leonard Jr. (Kathleen) Clark of Pine City, Paulette (Dennis) Thompson of Faribault, Kathy (Doug) Holm of Cambridge, Vickie (Ron) Hannan of Coon Rapids, Bradley (Julie) Clark of Isanti, 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren.
