Obituary of Agnes R. Hornquist

Agnes R. Johnson Hornquist, age 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2016. She lived at Cerenity Care of Marian in St. Paul at the time of her passing. She was born in Grass Lake Township in an old farmhouse. She married Gunnard Hornquist on October 12, 1940. Agnes and Gunnard bought Dalbo Motors in 1943 and were there until they moved to Isle, Minnesota to build a new Chevrolet dealership, Lakeside Motors, in 1958. Agnes was the bookkeeper and car contract writer during those years. She was a great mother, wife, and grandmother. She loved to sew, cook, and teach Sunday School to children and adults. She loved studying the Bible and seeing that her children knew their Lord and Savior. She will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Gunnard Hornquist; parents Elizabeth and Axel Johnson and her brother Clifford Johnson. Leaving behind are her two daughters Judy Rasmusson and Cheryl (Gary) Robb; her sister Julia (Dick) Loberg; three grandchildren Renee (Josh), Nichole, and Rory (Nicole); five great grandchildren Kurri, Karter, Keegan, Chloe, and Cooper; as well as many nieces and nephews.
