Obituary of Bonita "Bonnie" Louise Treichel

Bonita, “ Bonnie” Louise Treichel was born March 20, 1926, in Rush City, MN to Henrietta (Drews) and Rodney Moses. She passed away peacefully at her home in Cambridge, MN on May 29, 2016, at the age of 90. Bonnie spent her early years in Harris and North Branch, MN and graduated from North Branch High School in 1944. She married Ray Treichel of Cambridge on May 4, 1946. They had 7 children and Bonnie believed her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her family. She worked for more than twenty years as a Human Services Technician at Cambridge Regional Center and was a long -time member of AFSCME and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a faithful and active member of Cambridge Lutheran Church for many years. Bonnie loved family gatherings during the holidays and was an avid sports fan and bird watcher. She was also an accomplished pianist and taught piano lessons for many years. Bonnie enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and trips to the casino. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents; Rodney & Henrietta; step Father Harold Nelson; sister Trena Ekstrom and son-in-law Brad Stanius. She is survived by her children Randa Stanius, Terry (Val) Treichel, April Treichel, Todd Treichel, Claudia Treichel, Tyler (Jana) Treichel and Tom (Maggie) Treichel; grandchildren Stephani (Rich) Lamb, Jessica Treichel (Jason Nyblom), Sarah (Kyle) Deering, Melissa (Jerry) Kaul, Anthony Stanius, Preston Treichel, Briana Treichel, JT (Alexis) Treichel, Jordan Treichel, Savanna Treichel, Clinton Treichel, Dylan Rude, Peyton Treichel, Allyson Treichel; 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brothers Daryl (Micki) Moses and Harry Moses; sister Mim Hendricks and many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
