Millie, Liz, David, Paul and Will,
At a time like this, our hearts and prayers are with you, as a family, as you grieve the loss of Jer. Coach was a friend, mentor, and source of enjoyment to our family. We will treasure forever the times we had together with Coach. His wisdom combined with humor and understanding helped to mold my career and how I conduct myself in most areas of my life. I have long-lasting and special memories of times together with Coach way back to when I was a player. My family also has great memories about our times with Coach. Judy, Joe and I loved getting together with coach and reminiscing about the good times. In later years daughter in law Laura and grand daughter Rachael came under the influence of Coach's wit and easy going manner. We will all miss him very much. We know he is in heaven with his Lord and Savior. We will keep the entire Healy family in our prayers.
George, Judy, Joe, Laura and Rachael Palke

You know for many, many years that Jer has been a very special friend. Words can seem so trite at a time like this but our long standing friendship goes way beyond any words we can express. As we have aged our times together have grown few but the deep love and feelings have remained. You all remain deeply in our hearts and we have had countless experiences with Jer and each of you though the years have gone so swiftly.
May God bless you as you treasure your memories of this special man.

My sincere sympathy to Millie, Elizabeth, Jerry's sons and the entire family. Jerry was a member of the Pines & Prairie Writers Assn for years and always brought to our meetings his wonderful brand of humor and his excellent writing. We missed him greatly when he could no longer attend. He always exhibited his great love for the Lord. I can see him now, forming a writer's group in heaven! Until we meet again, Jer.

Jer Healy could not pass up an opportunity to make me feel like a million bucks, any more than he could pass up a flea market en route to Lindisfarne. He was my Bethel advisor, sent from above.

I am so grateful to have had Jerry Healy as a teacher and mentor. He was the kind of guy who could talk someone who didn't want to go into teacher into going into teaching. I remember one session during our student teaching focused on the very practical topic: how to fail gracefully. Good thing, too, as my first couple of years of teaching were filled with opportunities to show what I had learned. He taught us that education went beyond the textbook; well, sometimes it ignored the textbook. But collegiality and classroom presence are just as important as being able to force-feed Warriner's English Grammar to a high school freshman. A great sense of humor, a giant of a man, in more ways than one. Thanks, Professor Healy. Godspeed.
