Amy and Jody- It is always hard to lose a loved one. But a child is the worst. Especially a child who hasn't even gotten a chance at life. But God has a plan for all of us, and it was his plan for Matthew to come and be one of his children. You will always have him with you in your minds and hearts, and I'm sure with many others also. I can't even imagine what it is like, but my thoughts are with you guys. Take care and cherish the little memories you do have.

I've never met you, but saw your son's obituary in the newspaper. I just felt compelled to send a condolence because my husband and I have lost 2 children. Our daughter died a few minutes after birth and we also had a son who died when he was 3 days old. My heart breaks to read of another family going through this trial. I just wanted to let you know that even though I don't know you I am praying for you. Matthew was beautiful and I know the grieving process will be long. Jody and Amy, We are truley sorry about the loss of your son!! I can not imagine as a mother what you are feeling but know that our prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of pain and time of non understanding. I heard this saying a long time ago and I have carried it with me for years...
