Obituary of Maynard E. Rutkowski

Maynard E. Rutkowski, age 81 of Elk River, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was born on October 12, 1934 to Stanley & Balbena (Efta) Rutkowski in Greenbush, Minnesota. Maynard was a master mason. He was a rabidly avid waterfowler, fisherman, gardener and loved cooking awesome meals for his family and friends. Maynard is preceded in death by his parents Bena & Stanley Rutkowski; great-niece Angie James; in-laws Bert & Kallie Playle; brother-in-law and fishing buddy Doug Playle and many other sisters and brothers-in-law. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Alma; sister Betty (Walt) Schumacher; nephews Scott (Melissa) James of Rock Lake, North Dakota and Jeremy James of Fridley, Minnesota and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
