Obituary of Lucille L. Stamm

Lucille L. Stamm, 87, of Isanti passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Isanti. She was born December 21, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Hjalmer and Ingeborg (Solstad) Nylander. The family lived a short time in Minneapolis until they bought a farm near Kost, Minnesota where Lucille grew up. She attended the Kost School, was confirmed at Kost Evangelical Free Church, and graduated from North Branch High School in 1946. After high school, Lucille worked as a nanny for 8 years for two boys. She was united in marriage to Gordon Stamm, on June 11, 1955, at the Glendon and Irma Hanson home. Gordon and Lucille lived in an apartment in Minneapolis for a short time while she was employed at Fannie Farmer. In 1959, they moved to North Branch for until moving to Isanti. In 1967, they purchased a home in Isanti where they raised their five children. Lucille was very talented at drawing and painting. She would often be sketching or doodling at the kitchen table. Lucille enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, bird watching, garage sales, flowers and watching the Minnesota Twins, and she loved chocolate! especially HERSHEY'S. There would always be a home cooked meal prepared on Sundays consisting of meat and potatoes for her family. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, infant daughter Luann, grandson Eric Wiebler, brother Arthur Nylander, and sister Helen Nylander. Lucille is survived by her children Laura (Dave) Wiebler of Overbrook, Kansas, Cheryn Stamm of Isanti, Connie Stamm of Princeton, Julie (Jay) Quarnstrom of Cambridge, David (Carol) Stamm of Cambridge; grandchildren Kali and Hannah Wiebler, Melissa and Joe Christianson, Tyler and Emily Peterson, Rosalie and Jadon Bates, Cadin and Addison Stamm, Kelsey Bates; great granddaughter Marianna; sisters Marian Hector of Minneapolis, Ruby Benson of North Branch, as well as many other relatives and friends.
