I am so sorry this is late as John and Betsy were so kind to me. It took me many years to understand how much they did for me. As an alcoholic there were many things I did not understand. It was not until I found sobriety that I looked back at the help people had given to me and among the most generous were John and Betsy Dablow. Without their help I would have gone back to a life filled with drugs and alcohol in California from which I came. I am convinced that I would not have made it to the age of 30.
I guess the family pretty much know about John and Betsy giving me a place to live
at their home in Cambridge but what you may not know are the hours John spent with me doing homework after spending full days at his own job.One of my biggest regets in life is not going to see John to let him know how I felt. The reason why is I was full of guilt for not taking advantage of his guidance in changing my life course. Looking back I was wrong because John would have been happy for me for finding sobriety. John will always be one of my favorite people in my life. I at least got to thank Betsy although I should have done so many years before I did. I was very happy that Betsy had Lynne by her side.I sincerely hope that Betsy is now together
with John and that they have special place as a reward for putting up with me. RIP John and Betsy and Thank You

To the Dablow family,
Sending you prayers for peace and comfort in the death of your mother. Betsy meant a lot to my mother and I always enjoyed visiting with her too. Lynne, she was blessed to stay with you and be cared for by family. What a gift that was for her.
Accept condolences from my mother as well. She asked about Betsy very often. The friendship they shared as couples and in the dress shop are happy memories.
