Obituary of James R. Brown

James Robert Brown, 74, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at his daughter’s home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 30, 1941 in Buffalo, Minnesota to Paris and Lucille (Higgins) Brown. Jim served in the U.S. Army, served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1962. On November 17, 1975 he was united in marriage to Clara Fennell. Clara had seven children from a previous marriage. They would make their home in Ramsey, Cedar, Rush City and Cambridge until 2004 when they moved to Alabama. In January 2016 they returned to Cambridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Clara on July 9, 2016, daughter Sandy Ryhn, son Tim Klang, and sister Carol Blaze. Jim is survived by his daughters Dawn (Ron) Peterson of Cambridge, Tracy (Jeff) Janssen of Andover, son Troy Klang (Kim Hartlieb) of Anoka, 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Sandy (Tom) Bancroft, brothers Keith, Kenny and Jerry Brown, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
