I finally found what happened to my best neighbor behind me, Miss Jean as my son Conrad called her, & I haven’t checked with him lately, he’s 27 now, but always included Miss Jean in his prayers. I loved her & Jeff living behind us. Conrad would often go & visit & one time, after Jeff had passed, Conrad, home alone, called Miss Jean & heard noises under his bed. He told Jean, “ come quick”. Wasn’t till a couple days later, she told us she quickly cane over, through the trees & brush to help Conrad. Great neighbor. We weathered the ice storm together, the kitten births, & I brought meals often. I miss her & often corresponded through mail. My letter came back once, & I lost track of her. I think & pray for & to her often. Rest In Peace Jean. What a woman., you were the best! Much love! Mary Snelson

Dear Carol and family: I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Even though she had a long (and I trust) a good life it is difficult to lose a mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm so sorry that I will not be able to attend your mother's funeral.

Hey Carol -
What a loss you must be experiencing at this time. May God surround you with his spirit and comfort you. Remembering this time of Thanksgiving, it seems your mother's life has given you many blessings. It was a pleasure to have met her. I only wish I was able to attend her celebration of life.
Greetings to your family.
Love,
Chris Bennett-Gagner

I am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing, but glad that I was able to visit with her during my trip to Minnesota in the summer of 2015. She was a fine lady, and I was proud to call her my friend.

Special THANKS of Su Stigney, activities coordinator at Brightondale, for including Jean in the art and activities that she loved. (And the first person Thea and I met at Brightondale when we were trying to find a loving place for our mother and grandmother in Minnesota.)

OUR DEPARTED LOVED ONES-In Memory of Jean
"The dead are not distant or absent. They are alongside us. When we lose someone to death, we lose their physical image and presence, they slip out of visible form into invisible presence. This alteration of form is the reason we cannot see the dead. But because we cannot see them does not mean that they are not there. Transfigured into eternal form, the dead cannot reverse the journey and even for one second re-enter their old form to linger with us a while. Though they cannot reappear, they continue to be near us and part of the healing of grief is the refinement of our hearts whereby we come to sense their loving nearness. When we ourselves enter the eternal world and come to see our lives on earth in full view, we may be surprised at the immense assistance and support with which our departed loved ones have accompanied every moment of our lives. In their new, transfigured presence their compassion, understanding and love take on a divine depth, enabling them to become secret angels guiding and sheltering the unfolding of our destiny."
