Obituary of Adeline S. Knickerbocker

Adeline Sharon Knickerbocker, 72, of North Branch passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Ecumen in North Branch.

She was born on March 23, 1945 in Cambridge, MN to Willie and Adeline (Koecher) Miller.

Adeline enjoyed life to the fullest, playing golf with the Wurm’s and the Cow-a-bunga group, fishing at Little Splithand, deer hunting with her family and traveling throughout the United States visiting many family members. She was always ready to play a game of 500 or poker around the table with her family and friends.  Adeline always had a large garden and enjoyed canning all the vegetables she grew. She had many apple trees and would find 101 ways in which to use the apples so none of them went to waste. She could put together a gourmet meal with whatever she had on hand and make it seem effortless.

Whenever someone mentioned that they had an ailment or a particular issue with a pest or stain she would pull out one of her many helpful hints books and look for a solution for them.

She also enjoyed her little puppy Brandy who traveled with her and Don on their many trips.

Adeline is survived by her husband Donald of North Branch, children Tom and wife Tina Knickerbocker of Lawrenceburg, TN, Jim and wife Debbie Knickerbocker of Stanchfield, Sharon and husband Keith Barton of North Branch, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers William and wife Roseanna Miller of Sheridan, OR, Gerald Miller of Stacy, brother-in-law Dick (Jan) Knickerbocker of Tucson, AZ, sister-in-law Marie (Mike) Kraus of McGregor, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
