I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many fond memories of Lucille. When we lived in Cambridge we were at your house often, and later all of the camping trips and eventually we had the privilege of spending time visiting in Arizona. I always felt that Lando and Lucille were family as they were at every important event in our family. I loved how excited she would become to show off her latest craft creation. She was very patient teaching me whatever I wanted to learn. I tried to emulate her when we purchased our first camper, using baskets as storage. She was always so excited to visit and welcomed you with open arms.

Mrs. Kutzke was my 4th grade teacher at Moody School. Many life lessons were learned there. It was fun when she would bring her daughters Connie and Barb with her.
It was there I learned to knit. I would go home and practice on sharpened pencils.
I also remember her sense of fairness, which made it a natural fit for her to be a judge in our annual 4-H competitions. Thanks for the memories Mrs. Kutzke! May she Rest In Peace! My sincere condolences.

To Lando and family, I am so sorry to hear about Lucille’s passing – may she rest in peace. I’m Lucille’s first cousin and my Mother Auralia was her Aunt.
I didn’t know Lucille real well as I’ve lived out of state for many years.
One time when I was at Mom’s house they stopped by to visit and she enjoyed showing us all her quilting projects. She was a beautiful quilter.
She was a very sweet person. I can understand how she was a wonderful teacher and well loved. Our deepest sympathies and prayers to your families.

Hi Lando!
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Thanks to Mike for letting me know, and many Rum River Ramblers were notified.
Like your family, I also have many fond memories of Lucille, especially during all our camping trips. Plus, it was great to stay in touch at luncheons after our camping was done. She always had a craft, game, or project to keep us busy, so she was a special lady!! Take Care!!
