Obituary of Matthew Paul Allen

Matthew Paul Allen, 20, of Fridley, MN passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 19, 2018.

            Matthew was born in Minneapolis on April 30, 1998 to Jeff and Carla Allen.  He graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School and afterwards served in the United States Army.  He recently started working for The Caulkers Company as a tuckpointer.

            Matthew is survived by his parents of Cambridge, MN; brother, Jon, of Fridley; grandparents, Gerald and Yvonne Allen of Minneapolis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  He is preceded in death by grandparents, Herbert and Marie Hinnenkamp of Melrose, MN and his beloved pets Abby and Chester.

            All who knew Matthew will remember his big, beautiful brown eyes and smile that could melt your heart.  He had a gift for banter and an affinity for keeping his vehicles clean and smelling good. His genuine, giving spirit and witty personality defined him along with the love he had for his family and friends.

            The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all for the tremendous amount of love and support during this difficult time and asks that you keep his spirit alive through stories and laughter.

            A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at the American Legion in Forest Lake, 355 West Broadway Avenue, Forest Lake, MN.
