Obituary of Lois Marion Johnson
Lois Marion Johnson, 90, of North Branch, and Cambridge passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Ecumen in North Branch.
Lois was born in Fish Lake Township, MN on June 6, 1928 to Edwin and Marion (Danell) Hammargren. Lois grew up in Spring Lake attending School District #2 for 8 years. She was confirmed at Spring Lake Lutheran Church and graduated from North Branch High School in 1946.
On November 20, 1948 Lois married Robert Johnson at her parental home in Spring Lake. In 1951 they moved to Cambridge where they raised their family, Karen, Carmen, James and David. In 1967 they moved to Shakopee for 4 ½ years and then to Phoenix, AZ for 21 ½ years before returning to Cambridge in 1992.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, son David, granddaughter Johanna Babcock, great granddaughter Taylor Marie, brothers-in-law Carl, and Reuben Johnson, and sisters-in-law Verna and Jeanne Johnson. She is survived by her daughters Karen Johnson of TX, Carmen (Pat) Welter of Prescott Valley, AZ and son James (Kathy) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ and sister Phyllis (Roger) Flaten of Minneapolis. She is also survived by grandchildren Christin McGill, Nicholas (Melissa) Haffter Von Heide, Erika Anderson, Marc Alexander, Lauren Alexander, great grandchildren Jordan (Ashley) and Caylie May, Hannah, Matthew and Robert Babcock, Micah, John, Samuel, David and Jacob Haffter Von Heide, Brenden and Alexis Anderson, great great grandchildren Shaylene Nichole May and Daniel Scott May, niece Cheryl (Dean) Billodeau nephew Kenneth (Pam) Flaten, great niece and nephew Devin and Lee Billodeau, Christopher Flaten, as well as other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Reception and luncheon will be held after the service.
