My sister Sue and I used to visit the Wooland family up at Ashland every summer when I was very young and up till I was in highschool. The last time I saw Betty and Gordy were at a casino in upper Wis and they met Sue and I and Shirley and Jack and we really enjoyed the day visiting and gambling. I regret having not been able to visit since then since. Well when Sue and I were about 9 and 10 Betty was always finding things for us all to do and getting us in trouble with the parents. One holloween she had us putting grass snakes on doorknobs and have no idea where she found them. Never the less I was scared to death of them but went along with it as she was our leader and 5years older. Another time she had us hitchhiking to Washburn from Ashland for what reason I don't know to this day but cought on the way by the parents that had found out we were going. Another time she took me to a movie which was at that time would have been rated R now and I remember that the girl and boy were in the hay making out in the barn. Can't remember the actress but she was very busty and I was thrilled to see the movie. There were other events but these were most memoriable. So I am glad to share these with the family. Love Janet
Please know that we are thinking of all of you at this very difficult time. Bernie told me that he thought of Betty as his second mother. She was a very special person for someone to think of her in that way. The love that she has given will continue on. God bless all of her family.
