In 7th and/or 8th grade (it's hard to remember all those years ago) I use to go home with Patti at lunch time. Her dad lived in a white house next to the church. For the first 8 years of grade school we were all in the same classroom for all subjects: Math, Reading, Music, Phy-Ed, Art, English. We started each day out with attending mass every day of the week. We then went back to the school where we all recited
"The Pledge of Allegiance".
The school put on a "Talent Show" that some were chosen to perform in while some of us were the audience.
Once a year, prior to Thanksgiving, the school held a fund raiser with a cake walk, fish pond, bingo etc. and a dinner down in the Hall. The prizes for bingo were a turkey.

Randy, Brent, Sean,Traci, Chad, Todd and Tim please know that you have my deepest sympathy with the loss of your wife and mama. I wish there was something that I could do to lessen the grief you are feeling. David has been gone just over a year now and I do know that time will help and those wonderful, fun, an loving memories you have of her will one day be stronger than any sadness you remember. Patti will live in your hearts and her spirit will be with you all forever as love never dies and it thrives in our memory. One day we will all be one with each other again in spirit, God bless you all and keep you with His strength.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 528,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts and your wonderful memories will give you some relief during this difficult time.
