Obituary of Patricia Alice Brauns

Patricia Alice Brauns, 63, of rural Isanti passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at her home.

            She was born on June 3, 1955 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Cyril and Genevieve (Roers) Brick.  Patti grew up in Brainerd and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1973.  She later married and had four children, raising them in Coon Rapids.

            On October 15, 2005 she married Randy Hegstad at Big Sandy Lake in McGregor.  They lived for a time in McGregor and operated their resort on Big Sandy.  Four years ago, they moved to their home in rural Isanti.

            Patti worked at various jobs over the years and would later work for the Carlson Companies until moving to McGregor.

            She was a former member of the American Legion in Brainerd, she enjoyed going out and socializing with people, playing games on her phone, was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, loved animals and especially missed her beloved boxer, Harley.  Patti and Randy went on several trips over the years including Jamaica, Florida and Las Vegas.

            She was preceded in death by her parents.  Patti is survived by husband Randy Hegstad of Isanti, sons Brent Brauns of Blaine, Sean (Leslie) Brauns of Andover, Matt Brauns of Fridley, daughter Traci Brauns of Fridley, seven grandchildren, brother Michael Brick of Tampa, FL, step children Todd (Andrea) Hegstad of Big Lake, Tim (Kara) Hegstad of St. Francis, Chad Hegstad of Zimmerman, mother-in-law Mercedes Hegstad of Columbia Heights, brother-in-law Ronnie Hegstad of Columbia Heights, as well as many other relatives and friends.

            A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5-7PM, Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge.
