My sincere sympathies to the family. So many memories of George come pouring out. He made Cambridge a strong vibrant community through his leadership in so many areas. One of my favorite memories is a cold Labor Day MDA event the Jaycees put on in the late 70's. I had asked him to sit on a dunk tank at the old fairgrounds along with other city leaders of the day. He not only came, he also stayed an extra 1/2 hour when his relief, Sheriff Harder was late. But it doesn't end there, in his sometimes gruff manor he thanked the Jaycees for putting on the event and stopped at the radio station on his way home in wet clothes and made a significant donation as well. Cambridge has not had another leader like him and may never will again. God bless.

Dear Erickson Family, I am so very sorry to hear about Mr. Erickson. I remember him as a classy, stand up gentlemen that always had a smile on his face. My heart goes out to you Mrs. Erickson. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mr Erickson. I was just talking to my mom about two weeks ago how things have changed as I got my first big loan with Mr Erickson and was shocked back then 10-13 years ago that he would pull out his typewriter and type up the loan and get the check right then and there. I loved going into the bank to say hello as well as doing my business at his bank. He was a blessing and just a sweet, caring, kind and considerate man. He helped MANY people out.
