My heart is so heavy to hear of Katie's death. We were friends in high school and even though we had lost touch over the years, I have always held Katie in the highest regard. Katie had such a gentle spirit. Her smile could light up a room and the love she had for life and for the Lord was easily perceived. She was a blessing and kind friend to so many - I am priviledged to have had her in my life. I will always remember her with joy. Although her death is unexpected and tragic, it is comforting to know that though she is absent in body, she is present with the Lord. May you feel the Lord near to you during this hard time.
