Obituary of Katelyn Lynch
Katelyn "Katie" Joy Lynch was born April 4th, 1986, to John and Roxanne Lynch in Robbinsdale, MN. Shortly after birth she moved with her family to Cambridge MN, spending her childhood with older brothers Christopher and Ryan, and younger sister Kelly. She enjoyed spending time at her Uncle Darrel's cabin in the Wisconsin "north woods," attending "old time school" with her sister, and playing with her beloved dog Liberty. Katie attended Cambridge schools, graduating with honors from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 2004. She was an accomplished pianist and flautist, loved to sing, and participated in choir, band, and many theatrical musicals.
Katie had a great love for the Lord, family, and friends, serving them faithfully. A member of the First Baptist Church youth group, she participated in mission trips to Wyoming and Mexico, and loved to work with children. Katie was baptized June 16, 2002 at Trinity Baptist Church, St Paul, by her Grandpa "Bud" Lynch. Katie was pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and hoped to teach kindergarten. Her dream was to be the best teacher ever. She had a passion for learning and reading, loved to laugh, and her quick wit made many smile. Katie loved hanging out with her brothers, and she and Kelly shared a deep bond of love which only sisters can fully understand. She especially loved babysitting for her infant nephew, Grayson Christopher.
James 1:2 says, "Consider it pure JOY my brothers whenever you face trials of many kinds…" Through many trials, great and small, chronic illness and pain, Katie had great JOY. James 1:12 continues, "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." Katie has certainly received that crown.
Katie is survived by her parents John Lynch of Cambridge and Roxanne Thompson Lynch of Maple Grove, her older brothers, Christopher John of Blaine and Ryan Neil of Fort Collins, Colorado, her younger sister Kelly Rose of Maple Grove, as well as her nephew Grayson Christopher, grandmother Deloris Weekley Thompson, grandfather Alden Lynch, aunts Deneille (Ronald) Thames, Cheryl (John) Quist, Susan (Christopher) Shore, and uncle Jerry (Annette Lee) Lynch, cousins Deron Thames, Rachel Thames Sauer, Laura Quist

Katie joins her grandfather Neil William Thompson, grandmother Mary Lou Lynch, and cousin Adam Nathaniel Thames in heaven.
