As I am reading the Northern Star Newspaper, I am so very sorry to read of the passing of Arleta. What a beautiful lady she was. I remember her mostly from years gone by when she would visit Graceville. She was a gentle and very stylish woman as I remember her. I want to express my deepest sympathy to her family and I know that my Mother (Bernice Madsen) would want to express her sympathy to you as well. Take care. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Arleta Marybrooke Tiggeman Olson was my Gram.
It has been my good fortune to have spent time with both of my grandmothers, my great grandmothers and even a great-great grandmother. Most all, women who lived into their 90's. I have clear memories of each of them. Grandma's are important people...they are gifts; real treasures. I have often heard my parents tell their own grandma stories. They teach us and support us and love us.
Gram and I spent lots of time together and made some great memories! I'll miss so many things about her. We took many road trips, went to the lake, played cards and often just talked over a good cup of coffee and a tasty snack. I think what I will miss most about time with my Gram is her reminiscing and telling me stories. Although she often said she didn't' quite understand my interest in "all that old stuff", I would nod my head "yes, continue" and she would happily go on. No matter where we went or what we did, our time together always included her stories. Often times a canasta game would last for hours, wee into the night, because it was laced with stories as we played. I think Gram's happy place, at least one of them, was when she was telling her stories. Many of them were of her childhood and time she spent with her grandparents.
My Gram was a smart and classy lady and she was steadfast in her faith. She was feisty and opinionated and I loved that! She was a very curious cat and I loved that about her. She loved learning new things and was always asking the how's and why's and what if's about life's events...and she would always want to know "well Kimber, what do you think about that"? We discussed lots, solved little, and had fun doing it.
I miss you already Gram.
