Obituary of Duane Patnode

Duane Patnode, 82, died on Monday, August 13, 2007 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN. Duane Mark Patnode was born July 27, 1925 in Terrebonne, Minnesota, the son of Edward and Celestine (LaChance) Patnode. Duane served his country honorably in the Navy in World War II. He spent most of his life in Coon Rapids and later moved to Red Lake Falls. His family and friends remember him as a very kind and loving man. Duane was a care giver all his life. He loved to garden and loved people, attracting them with his determined smile. Duane is survived by his wife Barbara of 17 years, daughters Linda (Mike) Quigley, Candi (Rick) Thomson, son David Patnode, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Dorothy Patnode, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Virgil and Joseph Patnode and a sister, Theresa.
