Obituary of Clarence Chapman
Clarence LeRoy Chapman, 79 of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the age of 79 at his home surrounded by family.
He was born January 18, 1931 in Kenyon, Minnesota to Clarence and Irene (Bahn) Chapman. Clarence graduated from Hanley Falls High School with a class of nine students. He moved to Robbinsdale, Minnesota after graduation. There he met and married his wife Jane (Phillips). They enjoyed 58 years together as husband and wife. Clarence was drafted into the United States Marine Corps on April 28, 1952 and was discharged in 1954. He was a Foreman at Moorhead Machinery and Boiler for many years until retirement.
Clarence and Jane raised five children in Cambridge, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Earl Chapman and mother, Irene Anna Chapman. He is survived by his wife, Jane of Cambridge; daughter, Claire (Rich) Fix of Cambridge, son, Craig Chapman of North Branch; daughter, Lee Ann (Bruce) Hentges Detroit Lakes, son, Doug Chapman of North Branch, and son, Scott (Michelle) Chapman of Anchorage, Alaska; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many friends and relatives and faithful dog, Boo.
