I am so honored to have known Denny. I started on the ambulance service 19yrs ago, and I think that he was on most every accident scene in Isanti Co (maybe not all of them, but it sure seemed like it). It was great getting to know him over the years and to hear the stories of the "good old days". I always knew that if something needed to be done, he was the one to ask. He was always good at "keeping things in order" at scenes (I bet that he still is organizing something). My prayers go out to his family. Our EMS family will miss him!!

I first met Dennis when I started working for the Isanti County Sheriff's Department in February 1999, Dennis was a member of Safety & Rescue. Dennis was one of those guys that would lead and teach by example and also be a coach along the way. Always willing to help out at events or a call out you could count on Dennis to be there. I will always remember the spark Dennis would have when responding to the call for help and the leadership that came with it. I also remember the breakfast club meetings working the day shift and how we all would talk about solving the world's problems. I am greatful to have become a friend of Dennis and to have shared many laughs with him over the years. Thank You for your service, leadership and friendship.

Please accept my regrets and sympathy. Like Dave M. I got to know Denny Sr. through his regular visits to breakfast at Joe's. Several times it was just the two of us and we had a lot of talk about his family and his work. He loved both very much. I'll miss his sense of humor and his unique perspective on life. For the few short years I had to know him, I'll always remember him.
