Obituary of Lorryn Anderson
Lorryn Merrill Anderson, 70, of Danbury, WI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Cambridge, MN.
He was born January 20, 1941 at the Pokegema Lake Hospital (Pine City, MN) to Merrill and Evelyn (Lindholm) Anderson. Lorryn grew up in Stark, MN; attended Country School, and graduated from North Branch High school in 1959.
On June 2, 1962 he was united in marriage to Karin Erickson at Cambridge Lutheran Church. They lived in Cambridge where they raised their three sons, Jeff, Bryan, and Jeremy. Lorryn operated the Cambridge Implement with his father and brother from 1960-1981. After this he worked part-time in sales and also as a security guard in Mesa, AZ.
Lorryn and Karin enjoyed traveling. They also loved riding motorcycle together throughout the United States and Canada. They belonged to the Blue's Angels motorcycle club of Apache Junction, AZ. They spent their summers in MN/WI and wintered in AZ.
He enjoyed spending time with his family doing various activities such as boating, camping, fishing, and attending antique tractor shows. Recently the entire family enjoyed a vacation at Disney World. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities and events. He always managed to be a part of a men's morning coffee group.
Lorryn was a kind and fun-loving family man who will be dearly missed. He always made people laugh with his stories and good humor. He loved to talk about tractors and his days on the farm.
He loved collecting toy tractors and was an avid Packers fan. In recent years he loved to attend church and sang his heart out much to his family's chagrin. He enjoyed his 30 years of service on the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department with all of his fellow fire fighters. He also enjoyed restoring and reselling hobby tractors. He loved his home on Bass Lake in WI.
Lorryn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Karin of 48 years, sons Jeff (Sherri) of Stanchfield, Bryan of Wyoming, MN, Jeremy (Stephanie) of Cambridge and six grandchildren: Clayton (12) and Morgan (8), Raelyn (13), Courtney (11), Kendall (9), and Lydia (5). He is also survived by his brother Larry (Candace) of North Branch, sisters-in-law Patricia Foote of Cambridge, Priscilla (Lynn) Hanson of Isanti, Heidi (Don) O'Connor of Ramsey, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
