Obituary of Laurel Lindner

Laurel D. Lindner, 77, of Isanti died on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Laurel Dale Lindner was born on November 16, 1933 in Willmar, Minnesota to Henry and Amelia (Olson) Lindner. After his schooling he entered the United States Air Force on April 4, 1952. He served during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged on April 3, 1956. Soon after his military service he was united in marriage to Marietta Birch. They would move west of Isanti and raise their five children. Laurel worked several years for Paper Calmenson Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth Johnson, and Phillip "Bud" Lindner. Laurel is survived by his wife Marietta of Isanti, children Martin Lindner of Isanti, Dale and wife Petra Lindner of Cambridge, Deborah and husband Mike Cole of Coon Rapids, Linda and husband Jeff Melland of Isanti, Gordon and wife Jan Lindner of Bock, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brothers Howard and wife Irene Lindner of California, Eldon and wife Marian Lindner of Mizpah, Ronald and wife Tana Lindner of Mizpah, sisters Juanita and husband Vic Nelson of Big Fork, Ruth and husband Dick Oie, Myrna McCulloch of Brainerd, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
