Obituary of Ronald Torell

Ronald C. Torell of Cambridge MN died on Monday July 9, 2007 at the age of 69 at the Cambridge Medical Center. He was born May 22, 1938 in North Branch, MN to Guy and Martha (Anderson) Torell. Ronald grew up and lived most of his working life in and around the Cambridge area. Ron had a passion for the outdoors and all it had to offer. When he graduated from the eighth grade he decided that school interfered too much with the duck hunting opener and never returned. Although he had a full time job as a laborer with Gagnon Construction for 30 years, hunting, fishing and the out of doors was what he really loved. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 51 years, Caroline and his children, Rhonda (Don) Snow of Princeton, Kent (Robyn) Torell of Eagan, Brian (Patty) Torell of Circle Pines and Machelle (Casey) Laase of Cambridge; seven Grandchildren, Nathan, Tanya, Myles, Tiffany, Crystal, Cason and Cooper; Great Grand Daughter Eliza Jo; brothers Paul (Ramona) Torell of Cambridge, and Russell (Mary) Torell of Grasston; and close friend and brother in law Fred Hertwig of Cambridge. He was preceded in death by his parents Martha Carlson, stepfather Theodore Carlson, Father Guy Torell and sister Nancy Hertwig.
