Obituary of Christy P. Woster
Christy (Schreck) Woster, 60, of Cambridge, MN passed away suddenly on April 29, 2016. Christy will be remembered for her boundless enthusiasm and curiosity, for her baking and her storytelling, and for her incredible strength as a mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, grandma, and friend. Her humor and her incredible desire to learn have enriched the lives of all who knew her. Christy changed careers a few times from healthcare to special education to busy retiree, genealogist, and researcher, but she brought passion and hard work to each and every one.
She was active at the Isanti County Historical Society and was a well-known collector and researcher of the works of Lucy Maud Montgomery. Her work and her spirit have touched friends the world over.
Christy is survived by her mother Penelope (Erickson) Schreck; her three children, Benjamin (Jennifer), Emily, and Anne; 3 grandsons, Levi, Zach, and Alexander; two brothers, Karl (Christine) Schreck and Pete (Claudia) Schreck; and 10 nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved and devoted service dog, Rusty.
Preceded in death by her father Paul Schreck, brother Gregory Schreck, and husband David Woster.
