Obituary of Bernice S. Anderson

Bernice Signe Anderson, age 94 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Bernice was very active at First Baptist Church in Cambridge. Her music ministry included singing in the choir, playing the piano and pipe organ, and singing praises to the Lord for over 50 years with her husband Clarence. She accompanied and sang with the Singing Hearts group, she taught piano to hundreds, organized blood drives and delivered meals-on-wheels. She enjoyed cooking, baking, fellowship with friends, reading, houseplants, documentaries, old movies and a good cup of coffee. Shortly after Bernice's 94th birthday, when asked if she had any advice, she said "...to enjoy life....every day." Bernice is preceded in death by her husband Clarence; parents Esther & Godfrey Shoberg; sister Betty Wilstrup; grandson Scott Greer and infant daughter Rebecca. Bernice is survived by her loving daughters Joani Greer of Minneapolis, MN, Louise Schriek of Carlsbad, CA, and Beverly (Lee) Johnson of Duluth, MN; grandchildren Melissa Greer of Minneapolis, MN, Reni (Brent) Garduno of Oceanside, CA, Hans (Nais) Johnson of Duluth, MN, Eve (Joe) Gauthier of South St. Paul, MN; great grandchildren Gage Garduno, Jude and Maeve Gauthier.
